Data we collect

We collect the information you provide when you submit our contact form: your name, email address, phone number if you supply one, and the content of your message. We may also collect standard technical information generated by your browser, such as pages visited and the date and time of your visit. We do not collect payment card details through this site.

You give us
Name, email address, optional phone number, and the wording of your message.
Your browser gives us
Pages visited, and the date and time of the visit. Kept for site maintenance and error tracing.
We do not collect here
Payment card details. If your enquiry leads to an engagement, billing details are exchanged separately.
If you email us directly
The same categories apply: what you write, and what you choose to include about your business.

Why we collect it

Contact form data is collected so we can respond to your enquiry. Technical information is collected to keep the site functioning, understand which pages are useful, and identify errors. We do not use your contact details to send marketing communications unless you have asked us to.

  • To answer what you actually asked — a comparison question, a GST filing question, or a request for implementation help.

  • To keep a record of correspondence so a later reply does not start from zero.

  • To see which guides and pages visitors find useful, and which need rewriting.

  • To find broken pages and errors before they cost someone a second attempt.

How we use your information

We use your information to reply to your enquiry, to maintain records of correspondence, and to improve the site's content. We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

In practice that means a small number of people read what you send, and only for the reasons above. We do not build advertising profiles from your enquiry, and we do not pass your details to software vendors so they can contact you about their products.

Retention

We retain contact form submissions for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping. Technical logs are retained for a shorter period. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

Cookies and similar technologies

This site uses cookies as described in our Cookie Policy. Cookies support basic site functionality and help us understand how pages are used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Blocking cookies may affect parts of the site, but the written guides remain readable without them. The Cookie Policy lists the categories used and what each one does.

Your rights and how to exercise them

You may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You may also object to particular uses. To make a request, contact us using the details on our contact page. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

  1. 1

Send your request from the email address you used originally, or state it clearly if you wrote to us by other means.

  2. 2

Tell us which right you are exercising — access, correction, deletion, or an objection to a particular use.

  3. 3

We may ask a clarifying question to confirm identity, then respond within a reasonable period.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is entirely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security. If you believe your data has been compromised, contact us promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The current version is always published on this page. Material changes will be reflected in the policy text and its effective date.

If a change affects how we handle data you have already sent us, the updated text applies from the date shown at the top of this page. Earlier versions are not archived online; if you need a copy of the version that applied when you wrote to us, ask and we will look for it.

Questions we are asked about this policy

Do I need an account to send an enquiry?

No. The enquiry form asks for your name, email address, an optional phone number, and your message. Nothing else is required to start a conversation about software, GST filing, or implementation support.

Can I ask you to delete an enquiry I already sent?

Yes. Write to us from the same email address and say you want the enquiry deleted. We will confirm once it is removed from the correspondence record.

Does this site handle my accounting records?

No. This website is an information and enquiry site. It publishes comparisons, guides, and support information about cloud accounting software. Your books and records stay in the software you and your accountant use.

Where else do your terms live?

Terms of use for the site are set out in our Terms of Service, and cookie handling is described in the Cookie Policy.
